Located on beautiful Norris Lake near New Tazewell, Tennessee, we are a family orientated marina, where families and friends of all ages can enjoy boating, fishing and swimming. Our full-service facility includes a snack bar and a convenience store that offers a complete line of fishing and camping necessities, propane, bait, gas, ice, boating accessories, etc. We offer covered slips for boats of all sizes and open pontoon slips and houseboat buoys with seasonal and yearly rates. Straight Creek Boat Dock also has pontoon boats for rent.

Straight Creek Boat Dock has a fleet of some of the finest pontoon boats on Norris Lake for rent by the hour, day or for extended periods of time. Our pontoon boats seat up to 8 people for the perfect way to enjoy fishing, swimming, scuba diving, or just plain relaxing.

Fishing Information

Norris Lake has over 56 species of fish. The clear deep waters of Norris Lake create a perfect habitat for stripers, walleye, largemouth, smallmouth, bluegill, catfish and black crappie. Famous for its trophy-size stripers, walleye and catches of black crappie, Norris has become a favorite destination for anglers across the country. Ask for fishing tips at the dock before your trip.

Fishing Report

March 31, 2016

Lake Level: 1005.89 (Predicted as of April 2, 2016)

Walleye- Taken in river on fly and minnows. Walleye are not showing up under lights, but are expected to begin within the next few weeks.

Rockfish- Found in mouths of creeks and taken on alewives and shad.

Shellcrackers/Bluegill- Starting to show up on rock banks. Shellcrackers are being caught on small bits of worms. Bluegill are being caught on crickets.

Largemouth Bass- Very slow and not being caught.

Smallmouth Bass- Found in lower part of the lake and being caught on soft artificial baits.

Crappie- Crappie are biting good. They are being caught on a fly and minnows or grubs. Crappie are not showing up under lights yet, but are expected to begin within the next few weeks.
